Even municipal tap water can contain contaminants such as lead, heavy metals, or organic additives, and chemicals such as fluoride and chlorine are often added. Water testing almost always reveals deviations in water quality, so if you're considering purchasing a water filtration system, start by having a laboratory water test done. Our specialists will help you choose the right type of water test, explain how to properly take a water sample so that external factors don't affect its quality, and give you a detailed explanation of the water test results and what they mean.

What does a drinking water filtration system consist of?

The U5 drinking water filtration system consists of five purification stages:

1. First water purification stage – sediment filter;
2. Second water purification stage – coconut shell granulated activated carbon filter;
3. Third water purification stage – sediment filter, capturing particles larger than 1 micron;
4. Fourth water purification stage – semi-permeable TFC-type membrane;
5. Fifth water purification stage – final activated carbon filter, filled with specially compressed activated carbon granules. This filter removes volatile substances and gases from the water. It improves the taste of the resulting osmosis water.

After servicing the water treatment system, disinfection is required. The drinking water system's filters need to be replaced every 5-6 months, and the membrane once a year.

The drinking water system comes with a two-year (24-month) warranty.
