Description

One of the biggest water-related problems in Lithuania is a high iron content. To have clean and healthy water, you need the AGI-PRO-1054RX iron removal filter. This filter's main function is to remove high levels of iron from water supplied from wells or from centralized municipal water networks, with the goal of removing and/or reducing the level of iron compounds, sulfur, and manganese.

    1. The AGI-PRO-1054RX iron removal filter consists of an oxidation tank, a compressor, and a compressor controller.

      1. The iron removal process relies on iron's natural ability to oxidize – that is, divalent iron compounds combine with air and become trivalent (in the oxidation tank), and the precipitated iron is then filtered out by the filter media (in the filtration tank).

        1. Water may also contain too much manganese or hydrogen sulfide, or, as often happens, nitrates. Therefore, to effectively guard against excess iron, it is essential to thoroughly test the water and consult with specialists before purchasing an iron removal unit, since the same treatment principle does not apply in every case.

          1. Iron water filters are specially designed to remove iron from water. They are usually installed at your home's water inlet point, so that only filtered, safe water reaches your taps.

            1. Iron in well water can occur in four different forms:

 

            1. Ferrous iron – water comes out of the tap clear, but turns red or brown after standing, often leaving stains. The iron is invisibly dissolved in the water, which is why it is often called "clear-water" iron.

 

            1. Ferric iron – water drawn for the first time is red or yellow. Ferric iron is already oxidized (think of rust) and is therefore insoluble. That is why it is also called "red-water" iron.

 

            1. Organic iron – Iron can form compounds with acids naturally present in water. Organic iron is usually red or brown in color. You may see clumps of iron sediment in the water and an oily sheen on the surface.

 

            1. Colloidal iron – made up of extremely small particles (less than 1 micron). The water may be pink or red, like ferric iron, but the particles are so small that they remain suspended in the water.
