Limescale, brown water? Which filters should you choose?
How can you protect your home from the unwanted impurities caused by something that seems so simple, yet is vital to us — our water? Today there's no shortage of ways to improve water quality, but the most common problem consumers face is: where do you even start?
Why do you need a water test?
What's hiding in the water you use — whether at home, at work, or in industry — can be revealed in detail through a chemical water test carried out in certified laboratories. We've been working with these laboratories for more than twenty years, so we can confidently guarantee that the results are thorough and accurate, helping us select the right equipment for our customers.
Getting a water test done isn't complicated — you just need to bring a water sample straight to the laboratory, and if that's not possible for you, we'll collect it for testing directly from your home.

A water test is carried out quickly, in just a few days, and its price depends on which type of test you want. We also offer free quick water tests in our showrooms, so all you need to do is come see us, and we'll help and advise you.
Water descaling filters
Once the water test is done, the next step is solving the problem. It's no secret that one of the biggest problems in Lithuania is hard water, which causes limescale deposits to build up in almost every home. Limescale itself isn't harmful to our health — hard water contains calcium and magnesium — but hard water does cause dirt, deposits build up in household appliances and wear them out over time, water flow decreases, and other issues arise. Descaling filters and their prices can vary by hundreds of euros, and it's best to choose one not just by price, since a more expensive filter isn't necessarily more effective.
The price of water filters depends on the product's technical features, size, capacity, built-in innovations, and many other factors. If it's hard to choose, get in touch with us or fill out an inquiry form and get an answer right away.

Brown water. What does it mean?
Another common problem is water containing iron. Iron removal filters are used to remove this problem quickly and effectively — sometimes searched for as rust removal water filters. That description is accurate, since water with excess iron is usually easy to identify by its color: it's brown or pinkish, with an unpleasant smell and taste.
This water isn't recommended for drinking, as it may also contain all sorts of other impurities. Water ends up like this because of pipe corrosion, maintenance work, and other activities that take place not only in cities, but also in smaller towns, villages, and settlements.
Our specialists are ready to select the right iron removal filter for you — like water softeners, these can vary, and so can the price. It's not uncommon for a single filter to both soften the water and remove iron from it, cleaning it completely.

I live in an apartment — will a water filter fit if there's no space?
The wide variety of water filters and modern technology let you choose from a broad range of units. Household water filters are designed for small spaces — they fit easily and conveniently into shared rooms, don't take up much space, and in many cases can simply be hidden away under the sink. So no matter the size of your home, there's a water-improvement solution for everyone, without exception.
What are automatic water filters?
An automatic, or sediment, water filter is designed for the first stage of water treatment, during which solid particles (dirt, sand, sediment) are removed from the water. After this process, other water-improvement treatments become possible depending on your needs or issue — that is, water softening or iron removal.
Since we're constantly expanding our range as demand grows for different types of equipment, if you can't find the unit you're looking for, you can contact us directly and we'll make sure all the equipment you need reaches your home, office, or business.
